Brenda Valentine - “First Lady
of Hunting ®”
About Brenda Valentine
National champion archer, world-class hunter,
conservationist, T.V. host, book author, and
speaker, First Lady of Hunting® Brenda Valentine has
spent a lifetime promoting hunting.
Family Tradition
People often ask Brenda when she
got into hunting and her quick
answer is that she was born into
it. This is surely the truth,
for she was the oldest child in
a self-reliant family that
depended on wild game meat for
the table. Those early years
of hunting, trapping, and
fishing molded the person Brenda
is today and formed the solid
foundation for the lifestyle of
teaching and sharing that she
now lives. Fame has not changed
this country woman. When she is
not filming TV shows or
attending speaking engagements,
you’re apt to find her back home
in Tennessee driving the
tractor, riding her horses,
putting up vegetables from the
garden, working on treestands,
or shooting bows and guns with
her grandkids.

hunting trip on their Buchanan,
Tennessee, farm.
Two Decades of Professional
Dedication
Brenda was well known locally as
a dedicated and super-successful
deer hunter in addition to being
a tough archery competitor when in
1986 she was “discovered” by
Precision Shooting Equipment.
In a field dominated by men,
she’d won many state titles
before picking up the IBO team
national championship in 1991.
Browning requested her
endorsement in 1992 followed a
few years later by Bass Pro
Shops and then many others.

The family
tradition continues as Brenda's
family gathers for a fall deer
hunt.
Trailblazer
Brenda earned the respect of her
male counterparts early on
through a combination of
knowledge, talent, hard work, a
quick wit and her winning
personality. She is at home in
any environment from the
boardroom to the backwoods of
Tennessee or the plains of
Africa or the glaciers of
Alaska. She tackles tough issues
like gun rights and conservation
with insight and intelligence.
She encourages everyone to
cherish the outdoors and their
freedom to hunt and own firearms.
Inspirational
Brenda inspires men and women to
uphold hunting as it is
threatened by political forces
as well as competition from
other sports and today’s
bustling lifestyles. In an
economy where people don’t
depend on hunting as much for
food, Brenda works hard to
ensure that children understand
where food comes from and the
importance of game management.
She tells the truth about
hunting; that it is an honorable
way of life and that hunters are
good, decent people who care
about animals and the
environment.

Brenda relaxes in
her Tennessee office, which reflects her years of
hunting and outdoor interests.
Brenda is a National
Spokesperson for the National
Wild Turkey Federation. She is
the host of that organization’s
conservation TV program, “Get In
The Game” on the Outdoor
Channel. She is a 14 year
veteran of Bass Pro Shops'
National Redhead Hunting Team.
She co-hosts Bass Pro's REAL
HUNTING TV on Verses network as
well as being a regular on the
Bass Pro, King of Bucks program.
She has been featured on the
front page of the Wall Street
Journal as well as a guest
on “Fox & Friends” national news
program and was featured in
American Profile magazine. She is a past board
member of the National Bowhunter
Education Foundation and the
Pope & Young Conservation Group.
Brenda was the first woman
inducted into the National
Legends of the Outdoors Hall of
Fame, she is a member of the
West Tennessee Sports Hall of
Fame and is a present nominee
for the National Archery Hall of
Fame. Her articles have appeared
in almost every major outdoor
magazine and she has written and
self-published a book about the
humorous side of her hunting
escapades. In addition to the
National Wild Turkey Federation
and Bass Pro Shops, she
represents Parker Bows, Mossy
Oak Camo, Hunters Safety
Systems, Trophy Rock natural
minerals, Winchester
Ammunition and Vanguard USA.
