Valentine Family Tennessee Muzzleloader Season

The 2010 TN muzzleloader season literally came in with a bang for the Valentine family. This is the second great buck that 12-year old grandson, Justin McElroy, took with his .50 cal Thompson Center.

Son-in-law, Ken McElroy, and I had a truckload of fine bucks to deliver to the local meat processor. One of the bucks belongs to Justin.

Barney removed this big male coyote from the neighborhood with a perfect shot with his muzzleloader.

I thumped this bruiser buck with my .50 cal Ultimate Muzzleloader stuffed with IMR White Hot pellets.

Ken dropped this awesome 20-inch, 8-pt when it came in checking does.

Barney shot this old 9-pt on opening morning. Grandson, Jake, and granddaughter, Sarah, got in on the retrieval action. The photo does not do this deer justice. He field dressed a whopping 200 lbs!

Another dandy buck taken with a muzzleloader.

Grandson, Caleb Orr, slipped away from school a little early in order to get to the woods for an important date with this big ol' wide 8-pt.
The season isn't over yet and I hope to have more photos and stories to add to the Valentine family photo album.
