What a delightful welcoming committee when we landed in Mississippi for the second annual Mallard's End Girlfriends Hunt. L_R John L. Morris, Peggy Vallery, Julie Schuster, Jerry Martin, Me, John P. Morris, Colin Reed.

A foggy morning mist cast an eerie blanket on the woods near my stand.

Julie, Donna,Peggy and I always look forward to an opportunity to share a hunt but none as much as the Mallard's End duck and deer hunt. Here we are all proudly wearing a streak of blood from Julie's monster 8-pt.

It was a time of celebration for Julie's buck of a lifetime. L-R Julie Schuster, Peggy Anne Vallery, Brian Abrahamson, Brenda, Colin Reed, and Alfie. The buck was taken with a .45 cal Knight muzzleloader.

Of course the camaraderie and friendship renewal is such a large part of what we all look forward to from year to year.

The day after Julie tagged her trophy I dropped this big old 8-pt with a my .50cal Ultimate Muzzleloader.

It just doesn't get much better. Good friends, great hosts, monster bucks, and time spent in God's great outdoors.
