What a fun and laid back evening at the Kokopelli Golf Club in Marion, Illinois when representatives from several southern Illinois NWTF chapters gathered for a Diamond Life Dinner. Jack Winters, from the Little Egypt Chapter, hosted the event. Regional Director, Jim Garver, and newly retired DFO, Frank Nix, were present to thank many of the hard working volunteers of that area.

Janice Presley, NWTF Development Associate from Edgefield, SC, organizes several Diamond Life events throughout the year in various parts of the country. She is a valuable asset to the department and wonderful to work with.

Following a delicious meal and a lot of hunting tales everyone was given one of my new "Sweet Talk" turkey calls.

A photo and autograph session was then followed by more hunting stories.

Originally from Tennessee, Jack Winters has made his home in Illinois for most of his adult life. He is a Diamond Life member who works very hard for the NWTF mission of conserving, hunting, and sharing.

NWTF members are from all walks of life with the common bond of a passion for the outdoors and the preservation of the hunting traditions.

A cold glass of ice tea was especially welcome when the outside temps hovered in the 90's.
