The Rocky Mountains were showing off their finest fall colors when I arrived to hunt mule deer with Central Montana Outfitters.

Two Bass Pro Shops videographers met me in Great Falls to film this hunt for an episode of the 100% Real Hunting TV program on Verses Network.

A 2-hour drive took us from the bustling city to an extremely quiet and peaceful mountain hunting camp. Each of us had our own private wall-tent, complete with log beds, wooden floors, and a toasty wood burning stove. A clear stream flanked the camp which also included a large cook/dining tent and shower tent.

Larry & Terri Cunningham are part owners of the camp, hard workers and gracious hosts.

When not in the kitchen preparing hearty meals,Terri was accompanying me in the field. Extra eyes are always appreciated when glassing in Big Sky Country.

My video team consisted of Brian Combs, VA and Joe Parker, AZ. They work relentlessly to get the best footage possible for our show which is always among the highest quality hunting/outdoor programs on National TV.

There are endless places for deer to hide in the mountains and often the best view is from the top.

What is a camp without a roaring campfire? Camp helpers, Matt & Blake kept the woodpile stacked high and evening fire blazing.

The enormity, diversity and quiet beauty of this part of the country just cannot be shown in photos but I will never quit snapping pictures and trying to capture it.

The Central Montana Outfitters Crew gathered for photos and congratulations following a successful hunt. L_R Terri Cunningham, Larry Cunningham, Dale Yonkin(part-owner & head guide).

This prerut hunt required the hard work of everyone. My equipment included; Browning A-Bolt .300WSM with Leupold scope, Winchester SBT 150gr., Vanguard 10x45 Endeavor Optics, and a Bass Pro -20 Sleeping Bag.
