2011 NWTF Convention

The 2011 NWTF Convention will go down as another whopping success in every way. There is no possible way for anyone to partake of every event so I'll be highlighting just a few of the special folks I met and the fun I had at the convention.
Gib Rhodes, Kansas Jakes Coordinator, brought some of his hardworking Jakes team to the Wednesday night meet and greet. Pictured are Jakes members Dalton Meyer, Luke Williams, and Andy Blaylock from Emporia, Kansas.
Country music entertainer, Trace Atkins, rocked the house at the Thursday night welcome party.
Turkey hunting legend Ray Eye always has time for a hug and an autograph!
Even the tiniest (future) turkey hunters were at the show. This precious little girl was five weeks old and sleeping through all the commotion.
It was an honor to spend time on autograph row with two of the my special friends and cornerstones of the hunting industry, David Hale and Harold Knight.
Lines were long at the autograph sessions but the fans were patient and hopefully we got every cap, shirt, photo and special request signed.
My family looks forward to coming to the convention every year.
The Friday night theme was "Beach Party". Hats, beads, and music were provided to set the mood.
This convention is such a family affair.
This is one show where you'll see lots of women and kids enjoying the many events geared especially for them.
Michael Waddell and I are the National Spokespeople for the NWTF. We are both very focused on encouraging kids to learn to shoot, hunt and enjoy the outdoors.
