The unusual amount of snowfall in our section of TN has not only thrilled the school children but the rest of us who are young at heart and can appreciate the quiet beauty of a temporary white world. Here are a few photos I've taken around the neighborhood. Brenda

Country kids quickly learn to improvise. A corn scoop from the barn and a strong lariat rope make for some fun riding if you don't have a real sled.

Even playhouses are more fun when the snow piles up.

Kids, dogs, and snow make for a fun trip through fields and woods.

Even the older kids enjoy making fresh tracks.

Speaking of tracks, I was on the tracks of a flock of wild turkeys out foraging for food.

And here's what I found. The turkeys were scratching soybeans beneath the snow leftover from the summer crop.

Look closely, there are some really long beards in this flock of gobblers.

This may be my Christmas card photo for next year.

Even the full moon seemed to shine brighter to cast its glowing reflection on our fresh white world.
