This group of good looking Texas
ladies was enjoying a Women In
The Outdoors event sponsored by
the National Wild Turkey
Federation. Volunteers from the
Weatherford, Texas, NWTF Chapter
have made this a much
anticipated annual event.

Attendees for this event enjoyed
a day in the country learning a
variety of skills such as gourd
decorating, archery, shotgunning,
geocaching, fishing,
self-defense, turkey calling,
rose gardening, and handgunning.
NWTF National Spokesperson
Brenda Valentine was the guest
speaker and turkey calling
instructor.

This group of ladies was having
lots of fun learning various
methods of turkey calling.

The authentic chuckwagon was the
hub for the dutch oven cooking
class and also a tasty lunch.

events.

The best fishing spots sometimes
require no shoes.

This future Woman In The
Outdoors is Brenda's
granddaughter, Sarah. She jumped
into the day's
activities with both feet!

Judy Rhodes, founder of the
Divas (a women's outdoor skills
organization) and Brenda discuss
the success of the day's event.

Events of this magnitude require
lots of planning and hard work.
Thanks to Dottie, Nanette, and
their squad of dedicated
volunteers, this project was a
tremendous success.

The last order of the day was a
silent auction which created a
frenzy of bidding for some cool
items.

Everyone enjoyed relaxing under
the cool pavilion and discussing
the fun of the day while making
plans for next years special day
for the Women In The Outdoors.
